With at least 15 years of individual skate experience, our instructors are passionate about the art and lifestyle of skateboarding.

OUR STORY

Our founder Jessie grew up in an underprivileged area of Costa Rica yet felt lucky to have been introduced to skateboarding when he was 14. He started to compete and travel around Costa Rica at 16 years old. He saw how much skateboarding changed his life yet was aware that this opportunity wasn't available to a lot of people in Costa Rica. This inspired him to create STCR Skateschool with his friend Bruno. 6 Years later, together they have taught over 200 people to skate, most of whom are still ripping to this day!

STCR Skateschool prioritise giving back to the community, by taking care of the local skate park and sponsoring local kids, encouraging them to keep learning and competing.

Founder & Lead Instructor

Jessie Gonzalez

Jessie has been skating for 16 years and decided to open STCR Skateschool in 2018 to share his passion with his local community. He has competed and taught skating internationally and is a certified instructor under the Skateboarding Federation of Costa Rica.

Co-founder & Instructor

Bruno Gortari

Bruno started skating in Esquel, Argentina 18 years ago. He travelled to Costa Rica and reconnected with skateboarding in the local skatepark of Santa Teresa. There he also found a passion for teaching skateboarding and co-founded STCR Skate school with Jessie.

Instructor

Andres Sancho

Born and raised in Heredia, Andres has been skating for 19 years, since he was 10 years old. Since then he hasn't stopped skating and loves to share his knowledge and passion for the sport with the Santa Teresa community.
